This Rustic Camping Cabin #2
is an 8 person cabin and is located at
Lakeside Resort. It has a kitchenette with refrigerator, stovetop (no
oven), sink, and a table and chairs. The bathroom has a shower (no
tub). There are two bedrooms - one contains two double beds and is carpeted. The other small bedroom has a bunk bed in it. These
cabins are old and look
it! Bedding is provided, but no towels, cookware, or TV. Cabins have
very old furnishings and propane heat. NO PETS. Parking is limited to 2
vehicles (no trailers).

Capitol Reef is only 38 miles from Fish Lake. At Capitol Reef, fruit picking is a great way to enjoy the park. The historic Fruita orchard boasts more than 2,700 trees including apples, peaches, apricots, pears, cherries, plums, and nectarines. Visitors are encouraged to pick, sample and enjoy the harvest. Trees flower in April and blooms last until May beginning a long season of harvest that runs from June through October.
A 10 mile scenic drive (one way) beginning at the Park's Visitor Center travels through Fruita and leads the visitor to beautiful panoramas and sites along the Waterpocket fold.
